“Here at Generation Clash, we love finding what’s different. Specifically, the people who do things in a unique way. These are the people who stand out from the crowd instead of instead of blending into it.
We are proud to present our latest showcase series, dedicated to young creators, “Generation Clash Presents:”
Our second installment showcases a stellar young artist from Kentucky named Monica Glastetter who we had the pleasure of interviewing, and she even curated an exclusive playlist for us!
Read along to find out more about Monica and hear her exclusive playlist.

Tell us who you are and a little about yourself.
I am Monica Glastetter, I’m from Kentucky, and I’m a sad excuse for a dark artist. I like rock, creepy things, Gary Cherone, and daydreaming.
How did you decide on the name, “RiotingKnucklehead”?
Riot by Three Days Grace was my very favorite song, so that’s where the first half came from; And I was using words like “stupid” and “idiot” in other usernames online at the time, so when I got really into Five Finger Death Punch, “Knucklehead” was just a good fit.
Who are your artistic influences?
Felix LaFlamme’s art is what really pointed me in a creepier direction when I was younger, so he was a big one… More recently, Adam Jones, and Zack Dunn… honestly, I take more inspiration from music than I do other visual artists.
What inspires you to create?
My own fears, anxieties, and emotions. Music. Society. Nature. Too many things to list.
What advice would you give to someone who wants to be in a creative profession?
Individualize yourself.
Who is the first band/artist that became your favorite band/artist?
Linkin Park when I was like 8, haha. Right after that was Three Days Grace though, and they stuck!
What is your favorite format to listen to music on? (CD, Vinyl, Cassette, etc.)
CDs, blaring from a boombox.
Do you feel open-minded when it comes to what you listen to? Do you like going out of your comfort zone?
Kind of. I’ll give (almost) anything a shot per someone’s recommendation, but I don’t look too far outside rock and metal on my own.
What outlets do you find out about music from? (Record stores, magazines, samplers, etc.)
Whether it’s someone I follow on Instagram posting about a band they like, or from clicking around songs from artists I’m barely familiar with on YouTube, it’s typically somewhere online.
Name a band/artist that you think everyone should listen to?
Joyous Wolf!
