“Kings” is a song that takes a few listens to process because it’s so interesting to listen to. It’s full of attitude and much like all of Micky’s songs, it’s worth the wait.

The song is a commentary on the current relationship between the American government and its people. Despite how engaged and vocal the younger generations of this nation have become regarding social and political change, it seems that the powers that be continue to ignore our pleas.

Maybe the people in power will take a second to listen and take an example from the people who are trying to enforce change instead of letting things stay the same.
