This was an album that I found on vinyl. I recall seeing it one time but I left it. Something about a pin that made a remark about Russia.
I was in a better state of mind another day and I got it. An original gold stamped, white label promo. I always recall liking Rugburn from when I first heard this album and in more recent days I’ve started over with Nantucket and this album is spectacular.
There’s a certain gusto found in Nantucket that isn’t contained in many bands. They have a certain attitude and a movement to their music and I’ve been spinning the albums I own of their’s (I’m still on the hunt for the others) basically every weekend when I do art.
This album has grown on me like you wouldn’t believe. They are one of the many great overlooked bands of the late 70s and early 80s, and I’m so happy that I found them when I did because they are a good bunch.
